About us
Estia Handmade Art was established in 2014. The idea was to create a space where painters and artisans of
different arts could work together and create home decors and accessories combining Georgian tradition with
modern styles and design waves.
"Estia” comes from ancient Greek goddess of family and domestic warmth, while logo – pomegranate in many
cultures symbolizes prosperity and good fortune.
In 2018 Estia’s daughter company, Social Enterprise Potteria was founded whichsupports vulnerable groups,
by teaching them to work with clay and then giving them opportunity for professional growth.
In our works we try to build on rich Georgian history, so we use widely shapes of Georgian artefacts, ornaments
and motives from Georgian monuments, frescos from churches, old carpets, clothes etc
Except of products you can find on this webshop and our social networks, we take orders on specific personalized
presents and souvenirs, as well as corporative gift packages.
At our workshop one can attend private or group masterclasses in ceramics and some other art skills.
Since its establishment, Estia has been supporting young creative people - artists, photographers, ceramists
by offering them for free the space for exhibitions and other promoting events.
